چکیده

This correspondence points out that an algorithm proposed as a new digitizing method is, in fact, an extension of the linear interpolation design. Unlike previously published extensions, which incorporate the interpolation step into the to -domain mapping step, this algorithm cascades the interpolator and the analog filter. Original design formulas derived for a rigorous comparison support the assertion that the above algorithm yields less accurate results than the other interpolation designs.

Performance of Continuous Electrocoagulation Process for Turbidity Removal from Sand Filter Backwash Water

The presence of particles such as algae, clay, organic materials and water-soluble substances often create turbidity or color in water. In recent years, electrocoagulation process has attracted an extensive attention due to its advantages. Since sand filters are widely used in water treatment industry and their corresponding backwash water is large in volume, turbidity removal will save water c...

Equivalence between the extended window design of IIR filters and least squares frequency domain designs

A new look at the problem of digitizing analog filters is taken in the light of the proof of the equivalence between weighted least squares (WLS) frequency-domain methods and a previously proposed interpolation-based method referred to as the extended window design (EWD). This equivalence is used to prove new properties of the EWD and WLS methods, First, the EWD filters are shown to be near-opt...

ساختار دهی آنی داده‌‌های مکانی ورودی GIS با تأکید بر عارضه راه

An important issue in implementation of a GIS system is preparation of data to be entered in GIS. To produce spatial data for GIS using photogrammetric techniques, conventional method is to apply photogrammetric and GIS systems individually (off-line procedure). This approach is costly, time consuming and somehow unreliable due to the fact that 3D photogrammetric model is not available at the ...

$z^circ$-filters and related ideals in $C(X)$

In this article we introduce the concept of $z^circ$-filter on a topological space $X$. We study and investigate the behavior of $z^circ$-filters and compare them  with corresponding ideals, namely, $z^circ$-ideals of $C(X)$,  the ring of real-valued continuous functions on a completely regular Hausdorff space $X$. It is observed that $X$ is a compact space if and only if every $z^circ$-filter ...

Infinite-impulse and Finite-impulse Response Filters for Continuous-time Parameter Estimation

This paper examines two classes of algorithms that estimate a continuous time ARX type of models from discrete data: one is based on infinite impulse response (IIR) filters while the other is based on finite impulse response (FIR) filters. The IIR filters use continuous time state variable filters, and discretisation is performed on the filtered derivatives. In contrast, the FIR filters are in ...
